Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. We ask you to please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows us time to collect information about you and your pet, so that you may be seen on time. A new client form is available on-line, should you choose to complete it ahead of time.
For your convenience, "drop-off" appointments are available. A "drop off" means you could bring your pet in and leave him/her with us for the day. Usually we will ask you to drop off your pet sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, we will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.
We make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits. However, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Do I have to bring my medical records from my previous clinic?

We can attempt to fax of your signed consent to your previous clinic. However, we have had some problems with this in the past with certain clinics. Our advice is to print out the consent form located here, fill out all relevant information, and take the form to your previous clinic and request the records in person.';

This allows us to focus on providing the highest quality of care for our patients and the best service for clients. Acceptable forms of payment include: cash, local check or credit card. All checks will be processed by a check validation service.
At VetMed Animal Health, we understand that a pet\'s illness is often unexpected. To assist in these difficult times and situations, we offer a service called Care Credit. Applying for Care Credit is similar to applying for a credit card, but specifically for your pet\'s health care. Clients may apply for this option at VetMed Animal Health or online at www.CareCredit.com. It takes only a few minutes to complete the application process. If approved, clients may use the service immediately. Care credit offers flexibility in payment plans, as well as interest free options.
';

 nodeObj.innerHTML = '
At VetMed Animal Health, we believe in educating our clients in all aspects of veterinary care for their pet. More and more, people are asking about pet health insurance. There are several options to be considered. Most owners view their pets as members of the family and expect the best medical care available. Serious illness often occurs when least expected. Owners are often unprepared to handle these situations. If you plan ahead, pet health insurance may be helpful in preventing financial limitations from dictating the level of care for your pet.
Pet health insurance is not like personal medical insurance for humans. The relationship exists between the owner (you) and the pet insurance company and NOT between the insurance company and the veterinary clinic. This means that you pay the veterinary bill at the time of service, just like before. You then submit the claim to the insurance company, who issues a reimbursement after the deductible or co-pay is met. This ensures that the pet insurance company does not dictate to the veterinarian which diagnostic tests to perform or treatment options to choose.
There are no networks or HMOs to deal with when using pet insurance. Owners can visit any veterinarian, emergency facility, or specialist they choose. Typically, insurance companies cover up to eighty percent of the medical bill. Some insurance companies offer discounts for multiple pets. Make sure that you plan ahead, as there is typically a waiting period of a few days to weeks before the policy goes into effect.
Here are a few options to explore:

VPI Pet Insurance

Pets Best Insurance

Pet Care Insurance

PurinaCare Insurance

Petfirst Healthcare (Kroger)

Petplan Pet Insurance

Trupanion

Embrace Pet Insurance
';

 nodeObj.innerHTML = '
Dr. Nicole Harris is the single best veterinarian I have ever met. She is compassionate about her work, loves the animals and treats owners as she would expect herself to be treated; with respect and sincerity. My husband and I have 3 rescued terriers, 2 of which we knew would be special needs from day one so it’s especially wonderful to have someone who will listen to you and discuss treatment plans. As a geek I especially love the fact that everything is online. We are so fortunate to have a clinic of this caliber in our own little Mount Juliet.

- Wendy Eubank

After adopting a rambunctious kitten named Tigger, we knew he had to be declawed since he would be a totally inside cat around leather and other fine furniture. Since we love the little cat, we investigated the most humane way for this to be done. Our choice was Dr. Nicole as she appeared sensitive to an animal and its pain. Our decision was the best we could have made. At VetMed, she will be declawing with radiosurgery, a method limiting bleeding and is the advanced method in the market place. Of course pain medications will be given. She is GREAT!!!

- Gaynelle & Earl Rawlings

- Triumph

We began using Dr. Gables as our family vet around 2001 when we first moved to the Nashville area. We have continued to use him even though we now live further away because (besides being a great vet overall) he understands that when your "baby" is desperately ill or has a serious accident and needs help on Sunday afternoon or 10:00 at night or 2:00 in the morning you don\'t want to be talking to a stranger in a time of crisis. We try not to abuse the privilege, but knowing that someone we trust will be there in an emergency no matter the day or the time brings comfort to our family. We also appreciate that he takes the time to discuss treatment options so that we can together decide what is best for the individual animal based on the animal\'s health and age, and the cost involved. While many vets will only advise one treatment plan, which may be the most costly, we appreciate Dr. Gables\' realization that while we all want to do what is best for our animals, finances, especially in this day and time, are not without limits and there are often other treatment plans that will bring about the same results, and his willingness to explore those options is greatly appreciated. We look forward to soon being able to visit him in his "new digs".

- David and Janet Kline

For the past eight years our rescued Greyhounds have been under the care of Dr. Gables. He knows that caring for an animal-pet is a family affair relating to both the pet and family. During this time, Dr. Gables has provided expert and humane care involving surgeries, post-op care, and routine treatments . Dr. Gables has always been available for questions and I have always received a call back. Without reservations, I can highly recommend Dr. Gables. Not only is he intelligent, experienced, and up to date on vet care, he is compassionate and gentle. MT. Juliet is fortunate to have him.

- Anne Neville R.N., BSN

When I became a first-time pet owner three years ago, the only person I wanted treating my new maltipoo puppy was Scott Gables. Dr. Gables carefully walked me through the responsibilities of pet ownership and didn\'t talk down to me as I learned about caring for my new puppy. My husband and I love the way Rufus is treated when he visits Dr. Gables. Two years ago when Rufus became ill and dehydrated, he had to be hospitalized overnight for IV fluids. Although I was worried about my dog, I completely trusted Dr. Gables and knew that Rufus was in good hands. Dr. Gables\' educational credentials, professional experience, kind demeanor, and ethical business practices are second to none. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for veterinary care for your family\'s pets.

- Mitzi Lundy';
